2013 Junior Season
To be eligible for Fall Season, player must be 10 years old or older on August 1, 2013
Dates: 5th and 6th grade sign ups are July 27, 2013 from 8:00am to 4:00pm Lightweight and heavyweight sign ups are July 28, 2013 from 8:00am to 4:00pm Fee for 2013 season is $190. This includes rental of Helmet and Shoulder Pads and a game jersey the player gets to keep. This fee needs to be paid before the player will receive pads. Fee does not include the camp. July 29, 2013 Practices begin Equipment handout 8/3/13 and 8/4/13 (times will be announced soon) Aug 17, 2013 Regular Season begins Aug 31, 2013 there will be no games (Labor Day Weekend)
Oct 5, 2013 is the last day for regular season Oct 12th and 19th are playoffs Oct 22nd and 23rd will be Superbowls 2011 MESA COUNTY JUNIOR FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS 5TH GRADERS MORE THAN 130 LBS MAY NOT CARRY OR ADVANCE THE BALL AND ARE RESTRICTED TO LINE PLAY. 6TH GRADERS MORE THAN 150 LBS MAY NOT CARRY OR ADVANCE THE BALL AND ARE RESTRICTED TO LINE PLAY ALL PLAYERS NEAR RESTRICTED STATUS MAY BE RE-WEIGHED 3RD WEEK OF THE REGULAR SEASON LIGHTWEIGHT WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS 12 YR OLD 125LBS (MAY NOT WEIGH 126LBS) 13 YR OLD 120LBS (MAY NOT WEIGH 1121LBS) 14 YR OLD 115 LBS (MAY NOT WEIGH 116LBS) ALL PLAYERS NEAR THE WEIGHT LIMIT MAY BE RE-WEIGHED THE 3RD WEEK OF THE REGULAR SEASON. PLAYERS MAY HAVE ADDED UP TO 5 LBS 125=130, 120=125, 115=120. IF A PLAYER EXCEEDS THE WEIGHT LIMIT THEY MUST MOVE TO HEAVYWEIGHT THE MCJFA OFFICIAL SCALE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT COUNTS.
